BACK TO SCHOOL BACKPACKS | helping children in need succeed

When a family is living paycheck to paycheck, children learn to make do with what they have... even if that means returning to school without the supplies they need to succeed. But this year won’t be that way because this year there’s you… and BACK TO SCHOOL BACKPACKS. 

Combee Connection Ministries has identified families in need with school-age children. These families have been invited to attend the Back-to-School Bash hosted by Combee Connection, where they will receive the backpacks.

Thank you to all of our members that have purchased backpacks, filled them with supplies, and encouraging notes for these children.

We still need members to volunteer that day, so please consider signing up.

Time

Volunteers are needed from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm to help set up tents, tables, food, drink stations, snowcones, and a clothing boutique with miscellaneous giveaways. During the event, we will need volunteers to help at all of these stations plus waterslide, parking attendants, check-in, raffles, and backpack distribution. After the event help is needed to clean up. The event is scheduled to start at 11:30 am and end at 2:30 pm. The are a lot of things to set up and sort so if you are able to work more than the shift you signed up for any extra help is needed and greatly appreciated. 

All Day - 9:30 am to 3 pm
Shift 1 - 9:30 am to 12 pm
Shift 2 - 12 pm to 3:00 pm

Volunteers are asked to park at Christ Memorial Baptist Church 2929 Hardin Combee Rd. and carpool to the event location.
