DESCRIPTION:VISTE Volunteers sort and pack food items and provide all duties necessary to help maintain the VISTE warehouse. Duties may also include special projects such as bagging\, goody bags\, flopping bags\, and packing produce.ALL volunteers must have their driver's license with them and be prepared to fill out a short volunteer registration form.\nALL volunteers MUST wear closed-toe shoes (sneakers) for safety. Volunteers wearing open-toe shoes will not be allowed to volunteer.\nMembers should wear their Lakeland REALTORS volunteer shirts & comfortable clothing. Members may pick up a shirt at the Association.There is a possibility of some volunteers being asked to work in the cold storage/freezer\, volunteers are encouraged to bring a sweatshirt or jacket just in case.VISTE's maximum number of volunteers is 20 - if you plan on bringing a guest to volunteer with you\, please reach out to Carrie Roberts.\n\nVolunteers in Service to the Elderly (VISTE) is a community-based\, non-profit organization serving Lakeland\, Bartow\, Mulberry\, and Ft. Meade. Established in 1983\, VISTE's primary goal is to enable elderly persons aged 70 and above to remain safely and independently in their own homes.
